Background and qualifications

I originally trained as a social worker and in 1996 I went on to obtain a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre in North West London. I also qualified as a couple counsellor with Relate, and worked there for ten years.  I completed a two year introductory course in Group Analysis with the Institute of Group Analysis after my psychotherapy training.

I trained as a clinical supervisor at the Minster Centre in 1999.

I am a Senior Accredited Practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Senior Accredited Supervisor with the same body, and a Registered Practitioner with the UK Council for Psychotherapy.

I was a core tutor on two advanced counselling courses (now foundation degree courses) at Kingston and Bromley FE colleges for five years, and have offered extensive training within psychiatric, voluntary and local authority contexts.
